Snakes are really cool

Eli discovered a "rubber boa" in the backyard of friends, and handled it like a pro...........made me shiver! By the way, it's totally harmless!

Good Old Summertime

Peter is in Oregon for a couple weeks, and has spent the last week over in Bend with Mark and Susan. While there, Mark, Jonathan, and Peter did some rock climbing at Smith Rocks. I ask why, but they come home happy!! What can I say???

They will head west this weekend and spend some time at our house!! I'm happy about that!!!

Changes

Not only have we all changed, but this blog needed an update. I've been playing with the buttons, and came up with this.....see if anyone notices!!??

Two and a half weeks old......

One cuddly little bundle! He sleeps and eats and looks around. Only cries when he's hungry. Smiles in his sleep. Gaining about 3 ounces a day....already 2 pounds above birth weight!! (6# 6 oz at birth).
You all come see!!!!

Susan could hardly believe what just happened to her.....3 pushes and Curren was here!

Curren Manassa Ellis

Here are the happy grandparents - Poppi and Oma! I had a wonderful 10 days helping out wherever I could in the Ellis household. Eli thinks it's great being a big brother. Mom and Dad are doing well, although a bit sleep-deprived. We look forward to many visits watching our two little boys grow.

Spring warm weather and food

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, with Matt and Lindsay visiting us. We had a colorful, delicious brunch on Saturday, then spent the day in Pittsburgh. We went to the strip district, then drove up the hills to the overlook in the evening and had an amazing view of Pittsburgh at dusk. Amanda and I have been filling out lots of forms, applying for her Visa and getting to know via Internet friends that will join her in India. We are awaiting the news of a new grandchild for Mary and Floyd soon too!!!
